Objectives of this role
- Develop AI models for diagnostics, clinical decision support, and treatment optimization.
- Validate algorithms against medical datasets and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, patient safety, and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to align solutions with clinical needs.
Your tasks
- Design and train AI algorithms for structured and unstructured medical data.
- Work with imaging, genomics, and electronic health record datasets.
- Conduct rigorous validation studies and bias testing.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and other healthcare regulations.
- Publish findings and contribute to clinical AI best practices.
- Partner with research institutions and hospitals for pilot studies.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience developing AI models in healthcare or life sciences.
- Proficiency in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data pipelines.
- Understanding of healthcare data formats (DICOM, HL7, FHIR).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR).
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Advanced degree in Medical AI, Health Informatics, or Computational Biology.
- Experience with explainable AI methods in healthcare.
- Familiarity with FDA software-as-medical-device (SaMD) guidelines.
- Research publications or patents in healthcare AI.
- Contributions to open-source medical AI frameworks.
