Objectives of this role
- Monitor and interpret global AI regulations, including EU AI Act, to ensure organizational compliance.
- Develop comprehensive AI governance frameworks that balance innovation with ethical responsibility.
- Collaborate with product, legal, and engineering teams to integrate compliance into AI development lifecycle.
- Lead risk assessment initiatives and establish guidelines for responsible AI deployment.
Your tasks
- Track emerging AI laws, regulations, and policy developments across global jurisdictions.
- Conduct comprehensive audits of AI systems for bias, fairness, and explainability.
- Draft AI ethics policies, governance frameworks, and compliance documentation.
- Provide advisory services to product teams on AI compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
- Establish relationships with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and compliance organizations.
- Design and deliver training programs on AI ethics, accountability, and transparency.
- Develop incident response procedures for AI-related compliance issues.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Ethics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in AI governance, regulatory compliance, or technology policy roles.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML systems, algorithms, and their societal implications.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and their intersection with AI.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies and compliance frameworks.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with ability to translate complex regulations.
- Familiarity with AI ethics principles and responsible AI development practices.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in technology environments.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Legal background with specialization in technology, privacy, or regulatory law.
- Certifications in privacy (CIPP/E, CIPP/US) or information security (CISA, CISSP).
