Objectives of this role
- Build localization frameworks that adapt AI models for multiple languages and cultural contexts.
- Collaborate with product and NLP teams to ensure accurate and natural AI outputs.
- Implement scalable pipelines for automated translation and quality assurance.
- Research and apply best practices in multilingual NLP and AI localization.
Your tasks
- Design and deploy machine translation and cross-lingual NLP workflows.
- Develop tokenization, segmentation, and text normalization strategies for diverse scripts.
- Conduct linguistic quality assurance and bias testing for AI models.
- Automate localization QA processes and error reporting.
- Partner with UX teams to integrate localized features into user-facing applications.
- Stay current on localization technologies and emerging multilingual AI frameworks.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in localization engineering or NLP.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with NLP frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face).
- Experience with machine translation systems and multilingual tokenization methods.
- Strong understanding of data preprocessing, quality assurance, and automation workflows.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Knowledge of multiple languages and cultural adaptation best practices.
- Experience with cloud-based translation/localization platforms.
- Familiarity with transformer-based NLP models (BERT, GPT, MarianMT).
- Contributions to open-source localization or NLP projects.
