Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test software for quantum computing platforms (gate-based or annealing-based).
- Develop quantum algorithms and hybrid workflows that combine classical and quantum resources.
- Collaborate with physicists, researchers, and classical software engineers to translate quantum models into working code.
- Contribute to quantum SDKs, simulation environments, and cloud-based quantum runtimes.
- Optimize quantum circuits for performance, depth, and noise-resilience.
- Build tooling to facilitate benchmarking, debugging, and visualization of quantum programs.
- Stay current with emerging quantum frameworks, error mitigation strategies, and hardware trends.
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and cross-functional design discussions.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (e.g., Qiskit, Cirq, Braket, PennyLane).
- Solid foundation in quantum mechanics and linear algebra.
- Strong programming skills in Python; experience with C++ or Rust is a plus.
- Familiarity with quantum circuit design, variational algorithms (e.g., VQE, QAOA), or quantum machine learning.
- Experience working in interdisciplinary teams and contributing to research or prototyping efforts.
- Understanding of hardware constraints and error models in NISQ devices is preferred.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code and communicate technical ideas effectively.
