Duties and Responsibilities:
- Architect and deploy edge infrastructure to support IoT, AI, and latency-sensitive applications.
- Optimize data flows between edge nodes, on-prem systems, and cloud environments.
- Implement edge AI/ML models and manage lifecycle at distributed endpoints.
- Secure edge workloads with local encryption, access control, and isolation mechanisms.
- Work with hardware and network teams to design resilient, low-latency edge networks.
- Monitor and manage distributed systems using observability and remote orchestration tools.
- Develop policies for data sovereignty, compliance, and failover scenarios.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with edge platforms like Azure Stack Edge, AWS Greengrass, or NVIDIA Jetson.
- Proficiency in containers, lightweight orchestrators (e.g., K3s), and messaging protocols like MQTT.
- Familiarity with edge security models and zero-trust networking.
- Understanding of 5G, MEC, and industrial edge use cases.
- Certifications in edge computing, cloud platforms, or embedded systems are a plus.
