Duties and Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop smart contracts for DeFi applications such as AMMs, lending protocols, yield strategies, and staking systems.
- Optimize and secure protocol logic with a strong focus on gas efficiency, upgradeability, and attack resilience.
- Collaborate closely with product and research teams to translate high-level economic models into robust on-chain implementations.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to validate contract logic and ensure reliability under edge cases.
- Participate in security audits, code reviews, and formal verification processes to maintain high trust in protocol integrity.
- Integrate with or build on top of other protocols (e.g., oracles, bridges, liquidity pools) to expand functionality and composability.
- Monitor protocol performance and deploy upgrades or fixes in response to bugs, exploits, or market conditions.
- Stay current on DeFi trends, new primitives, and Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) advancements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing and deploying smart contracts using Solidity (Rust or Vyper experience is a plus).
- Deep understanding of DeFi mechanisms including liquidity provision, collateralization, leverage, and governance models.
- Familiarity with development frameworks and tools like Hardhat, Foundry, OpenZeppelin, and ethers.js/web3.js.
- Strong grasp of EVM architecture, gas optimization techniques, and security best practices.
- Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and devops in a decentralized context.
- Comfortable working in open-source environments and contributing to protocol documentation and community engagement.
- Bonus: Experience working with Layer 2s, cross-chain integrations, or zero-knowledge cryptography.
