Objectives of this role
- Design and optimize prompts to achieve consistent, reliable, and accurate model outputs across diverse use cases.
- Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to improve model performance through systematic prompt engineering.
- Establish best practices and methodologies for prompt development, testing, and deployment.
- Ensure AI outputs align with brand guidelines, ethical standards, and factual accuracy requirements.
Your tasks
- Create and iterate on prompts for various LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini, LLaMA) to achieve specific objectives.
- Conduct systematic A/B testing and evaluation of prompt variations to optimize performance.
- Build comprehensive prompt libraries organized by task type, domain, and persona.
- Monitor model outputs for drift, hallucination, and performance degradation over time.
- Implement safety measures to prevent prompt injection and ensure responsible AI behavior.
- Collaborate on fine-tuning initiatives and provide prompt-based training data.
- Document prompt engineering methodologies and train team members on best practices.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with large language models and prompt engineering techniques.
- Proficiency with model APIs and development environments (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI).
- Strong understanding of NLP concepts, tokenization, and model architectures.
- Experience with systematic testing methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of AI safety principles and responsible AI development practices.
- Excellent written communication skills and attention to linguistic detail.
- Familiarity with Python, evaluation frameworks, and experimentation tools.
