Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design user journeys, environments, and interfaces for immersive XR experiences across AR, VR, and MR platforms.
- Collaborate with product managers, 3D artists, developers, and UX researchers to define spatial interactions and experiential flow.
- Prototype and iterate on concepts using tools like Unity, Unreal Engine, or WebXR frameworks.
- Translate narrative goals and user needs into intuitive 3D interactions and interface elements.
- Ensure comfort, accessibility, and presence by designing within platform-specific constraints (e.g., FOV, motion sickness, hand tracking).
- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine spatial UI/UX and overall experience quality.
- Stay informed on emerging XR hardware, input methods, and experience design trends to influence roadmap decisions.
- Contribute to asset libraries, design systems, and documentation that support scalable and consistent immersive design practices.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven experience designing XR experiences, with a portfolio showcasing AR/VR/MR projects.
- Proficiency with XR development platforms and tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, Spark AR, or WebXR).
- Strong understanding of spatial design, 3D interaction models, and immersive user experience principles.
- Experience with prototyping and iteration methodologies in immersive environments.
- Familiarity with motion design, spatial audio, and real-time rendering optimization.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present concepts to both creative and technical audiences.
- Bonus: Experience with multiplayer VR, gesture recognition, eye-tracking, or haptics is a plus.
