Objectives of this role
- Develop scalable pipelines for satellite imagery ingestion, processing, and analysis.
- Collaborate with AI teams to build geospatial ML models for object detection and classification.
- Ensure high-quality data curation, annotation, and integration across geospatial projects.
- Research and deploy emerging technologies in computer vision and geospatial analytics.
Your tasks
- Design automated workflows for imagery preprocessing, mosaicking, and georeferencing.
- Implement AI-driven models for segmentation, classification, and anomaly detection.
- Optimize data pipelines for efficiency, accuracy, and large-scale performance.
- Integrate satellite data with GIS platforms and cloud-based infrastructures.
- Conduct quality assurance testing and validation of processed data outputs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on use cases such as disaster response, agriculture, and defense.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in geospatial data engineering or remote sensing.
- Proficiency in Python, GDAL, OpenCV, and geospatial libraries.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) for vision tasks.
- Strong understanding of satellite sensors, imagery formats, and GIS platforms.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Advanced degree in Remote Sensing, Earth Observation, or Data Science.
- Experience with cloud platforms for geospatial data (AWS, Google Earth Engine).
- Familiarity with real-time geospatial data processing pipelines.
