Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and retrofit data center infrastructure to reduce energy consumption.
- Monitor power usage effectiveness (PUE) and optimize cooling systems.
- Evaluate renewable energy integration and low-carbon hardware solutions.
- Implement energy-efficient server, storage, and network configurations.
- Conduct regular environmental audits and drive compliance with green standards.
- Collaborate with facilities and IT teams to align operational efficiency goals.
- Analyze utility data and propose system-level improvements.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with HVAC systems, UPS, and energy-efficient design.
- Familiarity with DCIM tools and environmental monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of LEED, ISO 50001, or similar sustainability frameworks.
- Ability to interpret energy metrics and lifecycle assessments.
- Certifications such as CDCP, CEA, or LEED AP are a plus.
