Objectives of this role
- Analyze autonomous vehicle performance across perception, planning, and control modules.
- Identify safety risks, anomalies, and failure modes in self-driving systems.
- Support compliance with industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide actionable insights from test data, simulations, and field operations.
Your tasks
- Monitor and evaluate AV logs, sensor data (LIDAR, radar, cameras), and control signals.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools for performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with AI and robotics engineers to validate autonomy features.
- Document findings for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
- Contribute to safety validation protocols and incident response investigations.
- Analyze edge cases to improve system robustness in urban and highway environments.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in autonomous systems, automotive, or aerospace analysis.
- Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or C++ for data analysis and visualization.
- Knowledge of AV system architecture, perception models, and planning algorithms.
- Familiarity with safety-critical system validation practices.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Experience with simulation platforms (CARLA, PreScan, Gazebo).
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 and SAE levels of driving automation.
- Familiarity with ROS (Robot Operating System).
- Experience with machine learning applications for perception.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks in autonomous mobility.
